WildChina is a photography tour operator based in Beijing which is now offering 8 day photography tours in Xinjiang led by the award winning British photographer Sean Gallagher.

This unique tour follows the ancient Silk Road to explore the cultural heritage and unique geography of this storied region through their camera lens. The tour is designed for amateur photographers who want to improve their skills while also enjoying one of the most famous regions of China. Trips start on October first, and offer travelers the opportunity to learn new techniques including time-lapse, portrait and landscape photography. The tour departs from Urumqi following an introductory workshop, and move toward the Pakistani border through a desert landscape dotted with ancient mosques. The tour includes stops at Karakul Lake and the Flaming Mountains, as well as a trek through the Taklamakan desert.
